3.4 If you do not wish for us to collect certain types of personal data, you may opt out by contacting our Data Protection Officer in writing. Please note that withdrawing consent or opting out may limit your ability to access certain features or services on the Platform. 7.1 BuzzLocalPH employs a range of security measures designed to safeguard your personal data. Your information is stored within secured systems and is accessible only to authorized personnel who are granted limited access rights for the purpose of fulfilling their roles. We use firewalls, encryption, and access controls to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure of personal data.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

7.2 BuzzLocalPH will retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or to comply with legal, regulatory, or internal business requirements. Specifically, we will securely dispose of or anonymize your personal data when:

• The original purpose for its collection has been fulfilled;
• Retention is no longer required for legal, compliance, or operational reasons; and
• No other legitimate interest exists to continue holding the data.

If you cease using the Platform, or if your access to the Services is revoked or terminated, we may continue to retain and use your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our obligations under the Philippine Data Privacy Act and applicable regulations. Subject to applicable law, we may securely delete your personal data without prior notice to you once it is no longer needed.

8. DOES BUZZLOCALPH DISCLOSE THE INFORMATION IT COLLECTS FROM ITS VISITORS TO OUTSIDE PARTIES? #

8.1 In the normal course of business, BuzzLocalPH may disclose, transfer, or share your personal data with third-party service providers, affiliated companies, or other authorized entities located within or outside the Philippines, for one or more of the Purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. These third parties process your data either on our behalf or for related legitimate business purposes. • Buyers or Vendors you interact with on the Platform;

• Business partners, agents, contractors, and service providers supporting platform operations — including logistics providers, payment gateways, IT providers, marketing agencies, and data centers;
• Regulatory or government authorities with jurisdiction over BuzzLocalPH, where disclosure is required by law or under Section 6.2;
• Any entity involved in a merger, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, sale, or transfer of BuzzLocalPH’s business assets; and
• Other authorized third parties as necessary to achieve the stated Purposes of this Policy.

8.2 We may also share aggregated user data (such as usage statistics or demographics) with advertising partners and third-party services for remarketing, audience targeting, or performance optimization purposes. This data does not directly identify individual users.

8.3 Where applicable laws permit the collection, use, or disclosure of personal data without consent, such provisions shall continue to apply. We may process your personal data to comply with legal obligations, fulfill our contractual commitments, assert legal claims, or pursue our legitimate interests, provided that your data privacy rights are not unduly prejudiced.

8.4 While we deploy industry-standard safeguards, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Unauthorized access (e.g., hacking or interception) may occur through no fault of BuzzLocalPH. Nonetheless, we are committed to protecting your data and complying with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and relevant regulations.

8.5 BuzzLocalPH may allow the sharing of YouTube content (e.g., during livestreaming) and may utilize the YouTube API. By uploading or linking YouTube content on our Platform, you agree to the Google Privacy Policy.

8.6 If you are a user in possession of another user’s personal data obtained through the Platform (“Receiving Party”), you agree to:

• Comply with all applicable privacy laws regarding the processing of such data;
• Allow the data subject or BuzzLocalPH to request removal of such data from your systems;
• Provide access to the data you have collected upon request, in compliance with applicable regulations.

8.7 If you are a Vendor receiving a Buyer’s personal data through BuzzLocalPH, you agree that you:

• May only use the Buyer’s personal data to fulfill orders or respond to inquiries, and only with the Buyer’s and BuzzLocalPH’s prior written consent for any other purpose;
• Must not contact Buyers outside the Platform using their personal data;
• Shall not share the Buyer’s personal data with unauthorized third parties;
• Are required to implement adequate security measures and retain such data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose;
• Must delete or return Buyer data upon BuzzLocalPH’s request or after completion of the transaction; and
• Must notify our Data Protection Officer at [email protected] immediately in the event of a suspected data breach or unauthorized access.

9. INFORMATION ON CHILDREN #

9.1 The BuzzLocalPH Platform and Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, use, or retain personal data or any non-personally identifiable information from individuals under the age of 13. No portion of the Platform is targeted or intended for use by children below this age threshold.

Parents and legal guardians are strongly advised not to permit children under their care to submit any personal data to BuzzLocalPH. If you are a parent or legal guardian and you become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal data, you hereby consent to the processing of that child’s data on their behalf and agree to this Privacy Policy in its entirety.

Should we discover that a user account is associated exclusively with a child under the age of 13, or that personal data was submitted without parental or guardian consent, we reserve the right to immediately terminate the account and remove or delete the personal data from our records.

10. INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THIRD PARTIES #

10.1 The BuzzLocalPH Platform uses third-party tools such as Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze user behavior and improve the Platform’s performance. Google uses this information to analyze your activity on the Platform, generate reports for website operators, and provide additional services related to web usage. Google may also share this information with third parties if required by law or if the third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

10.2 From time to time, BuzzLocalPH or third parties may offer downloadable software applications through the Platform. These apps may access and collect your personal data such as:

• Your name or username;
• Your device’s IP address;
• Cookies previously set by BuzzLocalPH or a third-party application;
• Other identifiers tied to your usage of third-party tools or services.

These third-party applications may prompt you to provide personal data directly to them. Please note that BuzzLocalPH does not own, operate, or control these third-party applications, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices or data handling. 11. DISCLAIMER REGARDING SECURITY AND THIRD-PARTY SITES #

11.1 WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA THAT YOU PROVIDE ON THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES. While BuzzLocalPH implements reasonable and industry-standard security measures to safeguard the personal data in our possession or under our control, any information you provide on external websites is subject to their own practices.

Your personal data stored with us is kept behind secured networks and is accessible only by a limited number of authorized personnel with special access rights. These individuals are required to maintain confidentiality. When you submit sensitive information (e.g., during login or checkout), we use secure server technologies and encryption protocols to protect your data.

11.2 To enhance your experience, BuzzLocalPH may provide links to third-party websites or services, or engage in co-branded offerings. These external sites operate under separate privacy policies and security protocols, and may collect personal data independently from the Platform — even if accessed through our links or branding. We do not control or govern the privacy practices of these third-party platforms.

11.3 BuzzLocalPH assumes no responsibility or liability for the content, policies, practices, or security measures (or lack thereof) of any linked third-party websites. Access to these external sites is provided for your convenience only, and you use them at your own risk. However, we are committed to maintaining the integrity of our Platform and welcome feedback about third-party links, especially if they are broken or lead to concerning content.

12. WILL BUZZLOCALPH TRANSFER YOUR INFORMATION OVERSEAS? #

12.1 Your personal data may be transferred to, stored, or processed outside of the Philippines in connection with one or more of the Purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. While BuzzLocalPH primarily operates within the Philippines, in certain cases we may use servers, service providers, or third-party platforms located in other countries.

Any such international transfers will be carried out in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and other applicable data protection laws. 13.1 Withdrawing Consent #

Note that withdrawing your consent may affect our ability to continue providing you with access to certain features or services, and may result in the termination of your account or service contract with BuzzLocalPH.

13.1.2 If you have shared YouTube content through the BuzzLocalPH Platform, you may additionally revoke BuzzLocalPH’s access to your YouTube-related data directly via Google’s security settings at: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

13.2 Requesting Access to or Correction of Personal Data #

13.2.1 If you have a registered account with BuzzLocalPH, you may access or update your personal data through your Account Settings on the Platform. If you do not have an account or wish to make a formal request, you may submit a written request to our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. We will require sufficient information to verify your identity and understand the nature of your request in order to proceed.

13.2.2 BuzzLocalPH may charge a reasonable administrative fee for handling and processing access requests. If applicable, we will inform you of the estimated fee in writing before proceeding. We are not obligated to act on your request unless you agree to the fee (if any).

13.2.3 We reserve the right to decline correction requests in accordance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act and its implementing rules, where the law allows organizations to refuse correction under specific circumstances.
